Welcome back to another episode of Fintech, What the Heck?, the best podcast for financial professionals, everything fintech, and the future of data! In this episode, we had the pleasure of interviewing Wayne Chang, Co-Founder of Digits. Digits uses state-of-the art machine learning and statistical analysis to create tools to track and understand your finances in real-time, giving you full visibility.
Wayne Chang shares with host Andrew Carpenter a little of his previous background and why he founded Digits. Wayne shares his company’s passion for bringing innovation to places and industries that lack it by providing a solution. Digits is solving a fundamental problem with financial reporting and making it more appealing and approachable. Wayne and his business partner have created a living model that instantaneously knows of any changes across operations at a company and notifies the appropriate person versus historically waiting until month end to get the financial report.
Wayne also announced a new product announcement - Digits Reports. Digits Reports uses interactive financial reporting; re-inventing the monthly reports accountants provide to business owners. Andrew asks about the benefits of Digits for its users, and Wayne explains that using Digits to generate reports is as easy as a click of one button - saving weeks’ worth of time and resources. Wayne shares with Andrew his plans to continue building unique tools that do not exist anywhere else after successfully raising Series C funding. Wayne teases listeners by announcing another major launch coming soon for Digits and shares feedback he has received from his audience. Wayne even gives viewers a ‘peek under the hood’ of some new features coming soon! Lastly, we wrap up the episode with Wayne giving startup platforms a few handy tips on their needs to make money.
