From the Experts (5:48)

Account executive Nick Carroll offered these tips for fostering a successful customer relationship:

  1. Listen to them – they can show you bugs in your software and help you decide where to innovate and build new products.
  1. Built trust by steering them away from a product that’s not a good fit for them.
  1. Be aware of how often marketing and other teams are contacting customers so you don’t overwhelm them.
  1. Establish a standing call (once a week, once a month, once a quarter) – you can always cancel if there’s nothing to discuss, but they’ll often come with a list of issues, suggestions, or questions.
