Meet Transparent Traders. Their Blackbox is the “first-ever to be created that specifically alerts for swing trades,” according to founder James Mason. It also alerts for Bullish and Bearish day trades. The Blackbox leverages sophisticated algorithms and predictive AI to locate accurate day or swing trades. We spoke to Mason about the story behind Transparent Traders and the challenges and successes of supporting individual traders.

Give us the elevator pitch for your company.

Transparent Traders LLC is the first to create accurate algorithmic swing trading alerts that fit the needs of the working retail trader who has a busy lifestyle. Our algorithms increase the odds of success and making profits with as little stress as possible by alerting the trader about ticker symbols and indicating if that trade is either “Bullish” or “Bearish” while keeping traders updated with the alerting direction throughout the trade.

What is your professional background?

Since 2012, I have been a full-time retail trader while also working for the United States Government until the end of 2017. During the year of 2016, I developed an interest in algorithms and automation. Since then I have worked on strategies and created algorithms that could accurately predict when a stock would soon reverse direction in the market. In 2019, I founded Transparent Traders LLC and integrated it into my social media platforms to allow my followers to be able to utilize my algorithms on a subscription-based model.

What inspired you to start your company?

What inspired me the most to found Transparent Traders LLC was to create an environment that would be safe from unethical players in the market and on social media. My mission has always been to protect traders as best as I possibly can and to do my best to help them become successful traders in the stock market.

What have been your biggest challenges, and what did you learn from them?

During the last few years, when I would try to teach traders what strategies worked best for me in my trades, I found that the traders became dependent on me being available to them for reassurance. When I wasn’t live trading with them, they faced all sorts of emotions that caused many to make radical trades that would end up destroying large percentages of their portfolios.

It wasn’t possible for me to be with every trader all the time. That’s when I realized I cannot teach traders how to psychologically control their emotions, I could only explain to them how I control mine. I studied the chain of emotional events that traders would have while I was around and compared it to when I wasn’t with them during a live stream. What I found with the traders was they couldn’t keep focus while they were in a trade. After they entered a trade, their daily lives pulled them away from their charts as the trading sessions progressed throughout the day. When they had time to take a look at their active trade, their emotions would start to overtake them since they weren’t experiencing the results that they were expecting to return back to. These emotions would start a negative chain of events such as not scaling in properly, ending their trade too soon, and then reversing the direction they were trading which would magnify their losses since the trade would turn back and trend in its original direction.

This is when I knew that I could take my algorithms that worked for my trades and provide a solution that could increase their success with trading. This is how the Transparent Traders Blackbox was created, also known as the “TT Blackbox.”

What have been your biggest successes?

I knew that my algorithms were extremely accurate, but I underestimated the impact they would have on my subscribers. To see the success my subscribers are having with their profits as they post them publicly, and reading messages from my subscribers telling me how they were never successful with trading until the TT Blackbox, it has truly been one of the most heartwarming experiences of success that I’ve had.

How do you set yourself apart from your competitors?

The TT Blackbox is the first algorithmic swing trading alert system that has been created and one that is actually accurate. Our day trading alerts are just as accurate, but our target audience is the busy retail trader.

Our trading alerts accuracy, along with our scaling in feature that lets traders know the best time to add to their position size, has created tremendous success for all experience levels of traders. When backtesting our swing trading alerts over a two-week period, we found that our rate of success ranged from 84% to 96%. Those rates vary in that range due to macroeconomic events, with the higher percentile being during smoother market conditions. 

Our competitors' accuracy is nowhere near ours! We keep our platform amazingly simple, and we pride ourselves on the results our algorithms create. 

Transparent Traders LLC is 100% self-funded, and we do not have any debt. Our closest competitor has $7 million in debt and has never turned a profit in a single month in their five years of business while we have been profitable every month since we released our platform.

Our competitors barely have any social media presence, while we have a substantial following on all major social media platforms.
