An Introduction to Intrinio

What’s it like to work with Intrinio? Here’s a high-level overview of what we offer and what to expect from our sales process.

What is Intrinio?

Intrinio is a full-service financial data and data technology partner. We help businesses of all sizes license financial data such as market data, fundamentals, and SEC data into their internal or public-facing applications.

Intrinio also provides resources and tools such as data sourcing, integration support, and our world-class API with SDKs in six languages to take the pain out of your financial data experience.

What can Intrinio do for me?

Intrinio can meet your financial data needs – with style. We provide real-time and historical stock prices, options, fundamentals, and SEC datasets. Alternatively, we can leverage our extensive partner network to match you with providers for dozens of other datasets like ETFs, mutual funds, and analyst estimates.

Our data comes in flat files or via a powerful, easy-to-use Web API. Plus, you’ll get built-in ticketing, dedicated chat and phone support, and developer assistance to make integration as smooth as possible for your team.

What is a consultation?

You’ll notice that we encourage prospective Intrinio customers to request a consultation with our team. A consultation is a 10- to 20-minute call with one of our data experts.

We ask a few questions about your business, timeline, and data needs. Short and sweet; we don’t want to waste anyone’s time! The consultation ensures that Intrinio is a good fit for your business before we move forward.

Why would I want one?

Intrinio has matched more than 1,000 clients with the right financial data. A consultation puts that expertise to work for you. It’s a fast, simple way to find out if Intrinio can provide the right data, format, licensing, and coverage for your use case.

You’ll want a consultation if you:

a) have a serious business need for financial data, and

b) don’t want to spend days sifting through marketing material and technical jargon.

What happens after a consultation?

If the initial call determines that Intrinio can help your business, we’ll schedule a 30- to 60-minute call to gather your technical requirements.

We develop a solution architecture document outlining the specifics of what Intrinio can provide. That includes items like history, coverage, data types, delivery mechanisms, technical support, and SDKs so you can evaluate whether the proposed solution fits your needs.

Once you approve the solution architecture, Intrinio will attach pricing. Typically, we can deliver the solution architecture and pricing within 1-2 business days of the technical requirements call.

We set up a 1-4 week proof of concept trial so your team can test the solution. This prevents you from wasting valuable developer resources on a solution that doesn’t work for your business in practice.

If the trial is successful, our team creates a contract that licenses your business’ use case.

Our account management team facilitates production access and connects your technical team with Intrinio developers who can assist with the integration and answer any questions.

That’s just the beginning of your relationship with Intrinio. We’re a financial data partner, providing ongoing support via ticketing, seven-day-a-week live chat, phone check-ins, and other resources to help you get the most out of your Intrinio account.

Request a consultation with our team to get started! We can’t wait to work with you.
